If your DIRECTV system is not working properly...
Don't wait for it to get better by itself.
Contact Mobius Communications Company right away.
We can give you suggestions that may solve the problem.
Programs not coming in? Are you getting a message?
Does the picture seem to stand still (known as freeze framing)?
Are you missing channels?
Do you get the channel heading but no picture?
Here are three important tips to remember:
1. Do not move your dish! This will cause more problems.
2. Write down any messages exactly as they appear on the TV screen. Be sure to include the extension number, if one is listed. If you call for assistance, the message helps determine the problem and how it can be corrected.
3. Call if you need help. Some problems may be only temporary but other problems will not clear up by themselves.
There are some things you can check first
before calling for help.
Why is my remote not working?
Always make sure that the remote has a clear line of site to the front of the reciever. If the front of the receiver is obscured, the remote will not work.
If the remote will not operate your receiver, try replacing the batteries.
If the remote will not control the television, check the DIRECTV owner’s manual for reprogramming it to the television.
Why can’t I order pay-per-view?
There could be a problem with your phone connection or you might have a past due balance.
Check the phone connections. Make sure the connection from the receiver to the jack is plugged in. Also make sure the phone jack, the phone service in the surge protector and the phone cable are all working. Then give Mobius Communcations Company a call.
The computer code that allows pay-per-view is usually disconnected if a receiver has not been connected for a couple of months, or when an account balance is more than 30 days old. The code cannot be restored until the receiver has connected and the account balance is brought current.
Billing questions?
All programming is billed one month in advance. If you change your programming in the middle of the month, you will receive a partial month credit for the disconnected package as well as a partial month charge for the new package.
